I'm new to using couchsurfing as a traveler but I've hosted people a few times at my apartment in Los Angeles. It was a great experience for me being able to meet cool people from across the world and learn a bit about their lives & culture, so now that I am traveling I want to give couchsurfing a try and see what it might be able to offer me. Staying in hostels is cool but I would rather get to know locals than other travelers..
