About Me

Hi there!

I enjoy meeting new people and spending my time with friends - be that on a walk, in a pub/bar or just chilling at home - I like spending time with people.

I'm ready for a challenge - I like pushing myself to see what I can do.
Be that converting a van into a campervan with no previous DIY skills, taking a bike apart and upgrading it with no clue what I'm doing, walking around Corfu for three weeks because I read a book about it, going for a 150 mile cycle over 3 days when the most I've cycled before is 20 miles in a day.

I work a lot on my laptop but I much prefer throwing away it aside and working on something physical - getting out and about and exploring the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There's a whole world to explore and a whole lot of cool people hidden around - I want to explore what this planet has to offer, and find some cool people along the way to share stories with.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Rock, Alternative, Indie, Acoustic, and a bit of Jazz

Movies: I like most types of films to be honest
TV: Also enjoy a lot of things, but tend to steer towards darker storylines or, on the other end of the spectrum, any documentary.

Books: Big into my “personal development” books at the moment but love ending the evening with a bit of fiction - not a fan of murder mystery genre, more of a sci-fi/fantasy fan.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Personally, I think converting a van into a camper van is pretty amazing.
I had no previous skills in this area other than building IKEA flatpack furniture, so to pick up tools, cut wood and build everything from scratch was a massive learning curve which I thoroughly enjoyed and am very pleased with the result.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm pretty good at picking this up pretty quickly but I don't specialise too much...
I know some pretty good recipes to teach and share...

and learning - well anything to be honest, there's a lot to learn from different people and different areas of the world, I'd be happy to learn anything!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to cook - would definitely be down for sharing some home-cooked meals.

Also stories, I want to hear yours, to get to know people, and I have some funny ones to share.
