I am from Ventura, CA, a quiet beach town 100km North of Los Angeles. I have worked as a Brewer at a Craft Brewery, built houses, managed a restaurant and sometimes play in a 3 piece band with two of my best friends. I am always looking to learn something new and help someone in need.

Currently traveling for the first time in my life and loving it! I am passionate about surfing and always striving to be more creative.

I hope to make new friends on Couchsurfing that I would not have met otherwise. I am new to Couchsurfing but I am not looking just for a free place to stay, rather to participate in an exchange. I also am hoping it will provide the chance for me to show my town to more travelers in the future as a host! I continue to see so many wonderful experiences from this platform and I want to contribute what I have to it!

Music is a big part of my family culture. I was raised listening to classic rock with my dad, who also showed me bands like The Strokes and Kings of Leon when they emerged. Coming into my own musically I have found my sweet spot to be in the Surf Rock/Psych Rock genre. I also am down to dance to some Cumbia anytime though:)

I have always loved reading George Orwell and Kurt Vonnegut. I am always looking for a good biography though.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

My Great Grandfather immigrated from the Basque Country a century ago. My Basque family in California lost contact with our family living in the French region of Basque Country 40 years ago. While traveling, I had the amazing oppurtunity to meet and reconnect with our family living near Bayonne, France thanks to my cousin finding me on Facebook! We were able to construct a family tree that went back 4 generations.

I am a lover of language exchange, currently in working in my Spanish. My dream is to be fluent in 4 languages like my grandfather was.

I love music and am always seeking new bands and keen to show others who are interested my favorite bands.

I am always up for cooking a good meal, particularly spicy or with curry. Mexican food is a staple where I live, I love cooking tacos and burritos for people. :)
