I'm just an easygoing guy who likes to laugh. I'm an American college student fulfilling a life-long dream of living in Italy. Even if it is just for the summer. Back in the US I'm a senior at the University of Arizona, I'm studying journalism (although I guess I'm doing that here too), and I very rarely leave Arizona. Here in Italy, well, I left Arizona! I'm a pretty neat fellow, I don't smoke or drink a whole lot, but I don't mind folks who do. I'm on Facebook a decent amount, so feel free to reach out!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am in Italy for the summer on a study abroad trip, and I want to see everything I can. Beyond just experiencing the sights, I want to experience the cultures of the places I visit beyond what my professors can tell me. I feel like Couchsurf is a unique opportunity to broaden the geographical limitations of my trip, while simultaneously introducing me to people and perspectives I otherwise would not have access to.

Interests

I am a journalism student focusing on multimedia journalism, so really I have a passion for people and stories. From that I've developed an interest in photography and further developed my interest in writing. This is my first time traveling away from North America, so I don't feel like I can say traveling is one of my passions yet, but so far I love it!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - The Killers, but really just about anything anyone shows me.
Movies - Top three would have to be Princess Bride, Moulin Rouge, then maybe Big Hero 6 or something Disney.
Books - I'll say Ready Player One, the Harry Potter Series, and Ender's Game, but ask me again when I'm in the middle of a good book and my answer will probably be that one.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a semi-decent cook, so I can share a meal! Beyond that just my positive disposition, my sense of wonder, and my passion for life.
