Music, Movies, and Books

As a filmmaker, musician, and writer, one of the most difficult tasks is choosing favorites, it's impossible!

I suppose I will start with my own work, since the point of this profile is for you to get to know me better - here are some links to a few short films I have produced:

"Odd Man Out" - a comedy about struggling artists: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0NydlpQnqQ

"wake" - an existential meditation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2B0x7RCOaw

"The Cleansed" - a nightmare: https://vimeo.com/53976622

I played the role of Cameron Nichols in this Cannes Film Festival Selection - "The Myth of the American Sleepover" : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aa1Sh2WZAMc

Other than that some of my favorite films are:
Waking Life
American Pop
American Beauty
Kiss me Deadly
Mullholland Drive
SLC Punk
The Big Lebowski
any B-side film noir
Oh Brother Where art Thou
The Princess Bride - I used to replay the sword fight scene between The Dread Pirate Roberts and Inigo Montoya over and over again while jumping around my living room, that and the chimney sweep part in Mary Poppins - STEP IN TIME http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4I-b_GJ4ltk

As for music, recently I've been listening to:
Lotus
Classical
Tame Impala
Jazz
Why? - Ohio trip-hop/rock ...or something like that, check em out!

Here are some of my tunes:

Lately I've been reading Ram Dass, The Tao Te Ching, and The Bible

A few years ago I said: My favorite author right now is Jack Kerouac - "On the Road" and his entire "Legend of the Duluoz" is brilliant and inspiring.
Also:
Aldous Huxley - A Brave New World, Doors of Perception, Heaven and Hell
William Blake - The Marriage of Heaven and Hell
All the beats, including Alan Ginsberg, Neil Cassady, William S. Burroughs
Hemingway
Thoreau
Emerson
"The Celestine Prophecy" - by James Redfield is a great novel of spiritual adventure and I recommend it to everybody.

I'd love to hear your recommendations!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This moment, NOW

Backpacking solo through Costa Rica and Nicaragua this summer was amazing, so many beautiful mountains/beaches/volcanos.

I had a chance to volunteer at a permaculture farm in Balgüe, Ometepe, a small farm town on La Isla de Ometepe in Nicaragua for one month. Ometepe is a beautiful island with two volcanoes... Magical place.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some guitar, or some yoga. I would also like to learn more guitar, and yoga. Let's share life!
