About Me

CURRENT MISSION

experience the world on my own terms

ABOUT ME

Caro's my name, good times are my game. Ask me if you want to know more, because I suppose there's quite a bit I could say.

PHILOSOPHY

Go with the flow and remember that everything happens for a reason.

Interests

I like: listening to music, playing music, art, writing, reading, academia, studying political Islam and peace and conflict, psychology, teaching kids cool stuff like comic art and journalism, Philly, Boston, Prague, road trips, warm weather, the beach, kickin' it with friends, cooking, traveling, new people, concerts, handwritten letters, shoes, punk rock

I dislike: food that is not salty enough, people with no personality, arrogance, flat notes on the violin (somehow it's worse than being too sharp), cold weather, crowded stores, airhead tendencies, broken glass, especially when I accidentally step on it

Music, Movies, and Books

Always listening to punk, classic rock, and other stuff. Currently listening to quite a bit of John Frusciante, Modest Mouse, Black Keys, Mogwai, The Roots, Stars, and much much more.

My favorite book is East of Eden, but I love American fiction in general. Also am getting into lots of Central European lit. I'll always love the Brontes and Jane Austen, and no, I don't care how girly it is. Holocaust lit, Best American Essays, and Bukowski = great.

Movies: Elizabeth, Amelie, LOTR, The Departed, Mallrats, Live at Slane (ok, not really a movie, but still), The Red Violin, much much more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'd say living on my own in a foreign country is pretty amazing. Also, seeing Anti-Flag live was pretty amazing too, but that's just me.

Teach, Learn, Share

Hmmm...if you wanna learn how to bake (pie, bread, cake, etc.), throw a pot, speak some French, or play a little violin, I can help you out for sure :-)
