I'm Denna. I'm a dreamer, generally up for any new experience that presents itself. I also dabble in photography, filmmaking, longboarding, climbing, reading, philosophy, dj-ing, and whatever else I'm into at the moment. Currently learning analog photography and Spanish. Always looking for novel experiences!

Former van dweller. Living in a van isn't as glamourous as instagram makes it seem, it's a small space and the temperature is the same as outside, making for tough Dutch winters. Nonetheless, I hope to experience the vanlife sometime again. I've also lived on a boat for a year, ask me about it if you like :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Hosting people is a way for me to 'travel' without going anywhere, I get to meet and hang out with people I'd otherwise never have met. There's so much to learn from others' lives.

When I'm traveling I like to find ways to take it slow and live the local life if I can. Couchsurfing offers that opportunity and I'm grateful for all the generous hosts I've met so far.

I mostly read either fantasy series, philosophy, or work-related books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked the Grand Canyon, walked the Great Wall of China with a local who brought us to an abandoned part, lived on a boat, lived in my own campervan, started a foundation, produced a film, built a festival in the desert
