About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Have fun and learn things. balance.
ABOUT ME
I give workshops to high school kids about how awesome science is, and work in a juice caravan on the weekends with my partner. love travel, fairly easygoing, enjoy good healthy foods, open minded, a little odd at times. sometimes I get to travel for work and it would be lovely to meet some nice people in my travels. I am into fire spinning, rock climbing, hiking, cooking gluten free food, yoga, making things, music and general adventures.
PHILOSOPHY
it will not all fit here! I value honesty, within yourself and with others. I believe you can better yourself. don't do what everyone does if it is not right for you.question when appropriate, build good relationships, allow life to happen and build by directing it gently, not by shaking it and forcing it into submission. remember to laugh. play with children.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
to be honest my hosting has not been very forthcoming. I have not had a spare room and have lived with people who would find it confronting to have a stranger in the house. I am I'm a better position to host now though.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
cooking traditional japanese food and discussing the Japanese mindset with a host. meeting an amazing family in Tasmania who inspired me to continue to be who I am.
Interests
I love hanging out with my friends, spinning poi, listening to all kinds of music, walking around, reading, being slightly insane, and so on. Cynical humour.. playing saxophone.. cooking and food.. philosophy, history, science, thoughts, dreams, cultures, everything!

Music, Movies, and Books
music!! probably easiest to list genres - but im not very good at picking genres.. perhaps better to list bands then? talking heads, bonobo, tool, missy higgins, john butler trio, bad religion, pendulum, shpongle, unexpect, a perfect circle, anahata, mistery of the yeti, and stuff like jazz, some classical, rock, metal, ambient, psy-trance, indie, lots of different things!
books - used to be a massive fantasy fan but have recently started reading more.. i suppose you'd call them intellectual books. stuff like catch 22 and on liberty by john stuart mill and some things on different religions
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
the stone buddha at kamakura, japan was incredible. just the energy/feel of that place was amazing. camping in Tasmania, climbing cradle mountain.
Teach, Learn, Share
i can teach poi skills and basic science and maths. i would love to know more about philosophy and religion and politics and history and .. well .. i love to learn. i can also cook tasty food..
