ABOUT ME

I never am sure how to respond to these profiles, what I have done? How I act? What I believe? What my friends say I am? Well lets see......(feel free to skip ahead if it gets boring_or tedious..... I am open minded, intelligent, educated, friendly, happy, easy going, opinionated, mostly liberal, creative, reasonably well read and articulate, emotionally stable. I love my bike, to read and I am very nocturnal. I think more outside the box than in it(including this one). I like to do things differently and make a difference, where I can and it is desired. AND I always brake for animals.

I know my way around the kitchen, both the stove and the sink. I appreciate neat and clean. I like basic healthy food, veggies, chicken, fish. Not a heavy partier but love to hang out and talk, about most anything...

I am a traveler from very early life. I lived in 12 towns before I graduated high school(class of 28, people that is).
I have a BA in Psychology and Sociology, M. Ed. in Counseling, long time practioner of yoga (hatha, kundilini, tantra), studied massage, reflexology, deep tissue body therapy and cranial sacral. I have been a marriage therapist, sex educator and therapist, a body therapist.
I have specialized in trauma victims, (physical, sexual and emotional), domestic violence, physical injuries(sports injuries rehab to broken spines), 4 years with aids and HIV, 2 yrs with elders(death and dying).
I have studied and taught NLP and hypnosis 20 yrs, done optimal performance with runners, tri-athletes, skiers, dancers, actors, golfers, weight lifters, and fiction writers, plus some business consulting for stress and employee conflict.

After seeing all this(& being successful with most of it) how could I not be happy and peaceful, I am alive, reasonably healthy, still learning and still traveling and still have half of my life to live yet.
I have lived in Houston, San Francisco, Vail Co.(3 yrs) New York City (3 times, total l0 yrs, 8 on a boat in the Hudson River, Mexico 12yrs, 3 in Tepoztlan a small mountain village, 3+ in Puerto Juarez near Cancun), Florida, Delray Beach 2+ yrs, Miami Beach (1 yr). I have traveled to Belize, Guatemala. San Salvador, Costa Rica (Univer. of Costa Rica), Columbia, St. Thomas, Hawaii, Canada, Germany, Amsterdam, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Brussels, Switzerland, Italy, Greece, Crete, Austria, Paris. My next country will probably be Spain, then Ireland, and England,.
Enough already......(I told you you could skip ahead)

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live.
Happiness is a decision.
Some pleasurable things should be legal and some business and political things should be illegal.
If I don't do some things who knows when someone else will figure it out and do it. If I do do it, surely someone else will do it better.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I slept and meditated in the amazing cave where the Greek God Zues was born on the island of Crete on the Harmonic Convergence in 1987.
I also slept in the cave of the birth place of QuetzalCoatl, the God-King of the Aztecs. And later I sat on the dirt floor of Don Amilio the 102 year old cuerandero who was the last Keeper of the Gate of the Spring and Birth Cave of QuetzalCoatl, while I gave him a foot massage so he could walk better. I had my first traditional Temascal steam bath with Don Amilo's 87 year old wife, a traditional healer in Amatlan Mexico.

A week later I was jogging along jungle paths below the Mayan ruin in southern Mexico listening to the chatter of the monkeys when I came upon a work crew clearing an underground structure. I ask if I could take some photos. I explored the 4 rooms buried under the dirt and trees. The next day when I visited the "official" ruin I ask the archeologist about the place in the jungle. Looking surprised, he asked how "I" knew about it and when I told him what had occurred, he said, "We have just discovered that site. The only people who have been in there are myself and our other archeologist, and now you. It has been buried for centuries. You are the very first Anglo to ever enter that place." Very cool!! Jogging really is good for more than just a strong heart,
Amazing work things I have witnessed:
I worked with an elite world class runner who had an allergic reaction to a tropical bug bite, causing her legs to go into spasm for a half an hour three days before the World Championship Duathlon. Her coaches said she had been one their countries racers favored for this race and now she was not expected to even run the race. I did 2-3 hour sessions of BodyMind Therapy with her for the next 3 days and then I watched her win the Silver Medal. Cool! That's a strong heart.

I did MindBody therapy with a lovely lady with a broken neck whom the doctors said would never walk again. When I met her she could take 6 steps before her body locked up and she had to be supported to sit down, after 12 weeks of 2 sessions a week I watched her walking up AND down her back stairs (20 steps) 3 times a day for exercise.
Then she went on vacation to Hawaii, walked through the airports and went on a 1.8 mile hike up the crater. NOW THAT WAS AMAZING!!!
THAT IS TRULY THE STRENGTH OF THE HUMAN HEART!!!
