Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am new to the CS project, so I'm looking forward to becoming more experienced.

Interests

I've a long list, I'm sure, but I'll try to keep it short. I love movies, especially movies that manage to grab me at the intellectual and the heart strings. I'm also obsessed with music and will listen to just about anything at this point but am especially interested in hip-hop, good indie rock and jazz. I'm also a recent devotee of opera--who knows?

I'm trained as a creative writer and so am writing all the time, on scraps of paper and of time. I love fiction but am increasingly interested in more abstract philosophical tracts. My favorite thinker right now is Slavoj Zizek, who is a pretty horrid writer in English but brings together ideas like they were chaff and spits them out the other side.
