my work affords me the opportunity to travel frequently all over the world and it would be great to know that I have a "home away from home" anywhere in the world GRIN

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have done this before but never thru CS
The internet allows us the opportunity to travel without leaving our homes but sometimes its nice to meet the people we grow to like and love on the net, my wife has never travelled overseas except to Scotland so I am sure she would love to travel more and meet people.

Interests

Reading, movies, series, internet, cycling, mountain hiking, old buildings/churches etc, the outdoors, camping, travelling, unusual things ... meeting people ... and tea ... I LOVE MY TEAS from around the world. I collect souvenier thimbles from around the world ... I am Messianic Christian, but that does not mean I dont want to meet you if your religious beliefs differ from mine ... I am not here to judge you because of anything you might do differently.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Too many to mention ... invite me to come stay for a few days and we can chat about it ... LOL
(but nothing beats Cape Town Bloubergstrand beach at 5h30am smelling the sea breeze watching the sun rise and change the colour of Table mountain slowly from a dark blob to a gorgeous pinky orange to the final view we all love so much here in CT.)

I have climbed a live volcano in Goma DRC that erupted a week later after I left (sigh), swum in Lake Tanganyika with crocodiles and hippos, been shot at by Burundian rebels, flown in a helicopter across half of Africa, dived in Mauritius and Comores and Reunion and Mozambique, married the most beautiful woman in Cape Town (#RhondaKnott), shot a M3M 12,7mm machine gun from a helicopter, petted a real live Cheetah and a lion, rescued far too many tourists off Table Mountain Cape Town, met so many nice people around the world that I wanna meet more.

Teach, Learn, Share

local people with an interest in showing people the REAL side of their life not just the touristy things (they are nice too tho)
I dont really like to drink alcohol (i know my limits) and no I DO NOT DO DRUGS of any sort so dont ask ... (but I dont judge those who do LOL)
