Overview
About Me
I graduated from university as a film director and the first thing I learned was that "Directing is not a profession it's a way of life" and since then I'm trying to live a life like a movie. And as a part of that me and my wife decided to have a long last adventure through Asia. We rent out our flat in Armenia and start a journey where we hope to find new friends all over the world, to explore diverse cultures and nature beauties.
While my professional life for the last 10 years revolves around software engineering, my interests and true passions include hiking, traveling, photography, and the art of movie-making. The exploration of new cultures is a constant fascination for me.
Since 2023 I reside in Dilijan city, considered one of the most beautiful places in Armenia, along with my wife and will be happy to host more people when we come back from our trip.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm here because I'm excited about exploring new cultures and understanding how people think and live in different countries. Upon moving to my new apartment, I promptly signed up here with the intention of hosting individuals from diverse backgrounds, aiming to make new friends. I have a profound love for traveling, and I recognize that one of the most crucial aspects of the journey is connecting with and learning from the people in your destination. While camping is an option, staying in someone's home adds a more interesting and personal touch, fostering friendships along the way. My biggest aspiration is to embark on a worldwide hiking adventure, and I'm hopeful that this platform can help me turn that dream into reality.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have a diverse taste in music, with a special love for jazz. Country tunes also resonate with me, and I occasionally enjoy rocking out to some rock music. I find myself drawn to rap as well, and there are numerous pop songs that I absolutely love. Of course, I appreciate the timeless beauty of classical music. It seems that I love almost all genre.
When it comes to movies, my all-time favorite is 'The Great Beauty' by Sorrentino. I hold directors like Sorrentino, Tarantino, Guy Ritchie, Martin Scorsese, and Woody Allen in high regard. I might add more to the list as they come to mind.
As for books, I have a plethora of favorites. Starting with Herman Hesse, I also admire the works of Richard Bach, George Orwell, Jack London, William Saroyan, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Anton Chekhov, and Kurt Vonnegut. A notable mention goes to Louis-Ferdinand Céline's 'Journey to the End of the Night.' However, if there's one book that holds a sacred place for me, it's 'Siddhartha' by Herman Hesse.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Recently, I had the incredible experience of paragliding, and it was truly memerizing. The sensation of free-falling intermittently and witnessing the beauty of nature from a bird's-eye view was breathtaking. After experiencing the power of flight, walking felt challenging. It's difficult to put into words the emotions, but it was genuinely amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm always eager to learn new things and share my own knowledge. I have experience in teaching programming languages and I love to teach.
