Overview
About Me
Hello! I'm Srdja, illustration and graphic design student from Montenegro. Currently living in Podgorica, our capital city, studying in Cetinje, our old royal capital and originally from Kolasin, small town in the north of Montenegro.
Related to my major areas, I can say that my occupation is image making, mostly in drawing, digital illustration, poster making, or digital photography. Also, I'm member of local theatre in my home town, Kolasin, so that would be some sort of interaction among visual arts and performance arts.
During my studies, I had a chance to spend one year in USA, as a foreign exchange student, which improved my language skills and changed the way i perceive travelling, meeting new people from all around the world, sharing stories, and making friends.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Since my trip to USA in 2010/2011, which was 9 months long, I didn't have a chance for any kind of ''long distance'' travelling. I know that my Couchsurfing profile, as a recently opened profile, in a matter of references (not a single reference), is not really trustful. But I hope that this is a good starting point for me as a traveler. So, let's start with this journey!
Interests
As a person, I am easy-going, interested in meeting new cultures, talking about fine arts, illustration, music, history, film, comics, design theory. I like to hear about history of specific country, its culture or even political situation. Having a drink and cigarette during this talks is preferable.

Music, Movies, and Books
Pretty much any kind of music. I mostly watch older, post war European and Asian movies, as well some movies from official selection of Cannes fetival, Venice film Festival, or Sundance. I can show and share some of these movies from my laptop collection! And for books - currently I'm reading novelists and poets from ex-Yugoslavia. And some underground comics from Serbia.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Winter road trip to Mount Rushmore and Spring road trip to Chicago. The time of my life!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can buy some food but I'm bad at preparing, so I can help out with dishes, or cleaning. Buying drinks or cigarettes is not a problem. Also, I can share some presents - original postcards, with my personal work. Sharing good stories is good as well. :)
