ABOUT ME

They would say that I am 'different' because I quit almost everything else (including a 'comfortable life') to live a life of my own, in a place where hardly any Indian aspires/wants to live in. They would also say that they wish they could follow a similar path. Their thoughts, not necessarily mine.

PHILOSOPHY

Have a life you dream of. You only live once. Cliched? May be. Genuine nonetheless.

I am very new here. No experience whatsoever.

兴趣

I am an avid traveler. Have not yet been able to venture outside India much (mostly because of financial reasons) though. I am very keen in people's lives. And I am a story teller. Mostly through photographs. Have taken up photography rather seriously in the last few years. A book of photographs from my 13-festivals-in-12-months journey of India is expected to hit the stores in July 2012.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

1. An early morning drizzle at the Dashaswamedh Ghat at Varanasi, India
2. The three hours stretch at the Valley of Flowers (India) when I did not spot a single human being despite being able to see about 3-4 km in every direction.

I can share my thoughts on Rishikesh and life in general in India. I have *chosen* to live in Rishikesh, which, from what I have seen, is rare. So I am both a traveler and a 'local' in Rishikesh. And I do have my understanding of the evolution our beautiful country is going through. A lot of this comes from my domestic travel. Of course not all my observations/realisations will be accurate. But it is first-hand experience.
