About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be. I am on an ongoing quest to be as useful as I can.

ABOUT ME

Thoughtful, sensitive, fun, love adventures and philosophy, silly.

PHILOSOPHY

Being that I studied this subject I have quite a bit to say on it.
However a quick summation would be to say that I subscribe to an Idealist point of view. That is to say more or less that thoughts are things. However as far as the everyday goes while a skeptic I live my life as if materialism is true and the world and the stuff in it is real even if based on reason I can't be sure that I am anything more then a thinking thing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't had a couch since I learned about the project but would adopt travelers from time to time back when I had a couch of my own.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been on some adventures with Couchsurfers that my friends hosted, and always appreciated interacting with people whose level of enthusiasm and sense of adventure was nearer to mine then the typical person I encounter.

Interests

Adventures.
Philosophy and learning about things that interest me.
Matching my wits against others.
Creating and Experiencing art.

Music, Movies, and Books

The Sandman graphic novel series by Neil Gaiman is one of my favorite things.
I also have enjoyed many a Stephen King book.
My music tastes are pretty varied but classic rock holds a special place in my heart. Also being that I am an overly sentimental fool at times music that effectively expresses some emotion or situation I have experienced has pull on me.
Death Cab/Postal Service, Linkin Park, Hotchip, Beatles, Rufus Wainwright.
Matrix and Animatrix, Fight Club, American Beauty, Zoolander, Big Lebowski.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I love the view from high places, often I find myself in a state of pure being when experiencing a beautiful view. Some notable examples: The top of Zeus' throne Mount Olympus, Berkeley Hills.
Most of Rainbow Gathering filled me with a sense of awe but particular times like when the sun was slowly burning off the fog that was rolling through the marsh were particularly breathtaking.
Burning Man was beyond epic, amazing views, art, and countless adventures to be had.

Teach, Learn, Share

Philosophize!
An odd skill for playing Tetris with real world items to conserve space.

I am looking to gather skills that will help me create an earthship commune on some land that my parents don't use and then use that experience as a prototype in order to create a network of them.
I also hope to study with shaman and medicine man.
