ABOUT ME

I am a very laid back kind of guy who has an addiction to the sunshine. I am in love with the environment and obtained my bachelor's degree in Environmental Studie. Relaxing on the beach, hiking through the swamp, or kayaking in the ocean sounds like a perfect day to me. I think sometimes I feel most at home in the woods. However I am not a crazy hermit, who thinks the modern world is the devil (well maybe sometimes lol). I enjoy going out to the bars, chillin with my buddies, playing some pong, and living life to the fullest.

PHILOSOPHY

I think that everyone is here for a reason, but your path isn’t laid out in stone. I believe in karma, when you do something for a complete stranger the favor will be returned eventually. Most of all I feel that life is worth living, we only get one of them, so make the best of it. Have fun, don’t take things to serious, pull your own weight, follow the golden rule, and live it up!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to be able to offer interesting people a couch to crash, a nice shower, and a place to have fun. I feel that someone will do the same for me when I need it, or at least I hope.

I love hanging out and watching movies, it is when i get to just sit and be lazy. my favs are Dazed and Confused, Across the Universe, The Departed, Mall Rats, Kingdoms of Heaven and a ton more.
My fav types of music are Classic and Southern Rock, Country, Reggae, and many others.
My fav books are Into the Wild, A Walk in the Woods, and a bunch of others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The last 2 summers I have worked at a camp in the middle of the Florida Everglades. I taught kids form 8-14 about the ecosystems, wildlife, and importance of this amazing environment. Not only did I have the privilege to teach them, but they and the experience helped me come out of my shell and become who I am today and honestly changed my life. (That was what I wrote 4 years ago when I joined this site) Since then I have gotten the opportunity to continue teaching others about the outdoors by guiding whitewater, the Everglades, and The Caves of Tennessee just to name a few. I can't get enough of it and have really caught that travel bug.
