ABOUT ME

My name is Sam Segal. I was brought up by a salesman & a social rights advocate. My two favorite things in the world are stories, both sharing and creating them and, for me, using my camera helps capture what I see and feel from the world around me.

I've had a lot of jobs -- special education teacher, interpreter, art model, photographer, designer, programmer, event planner -- right now, I do mostly freelance photography and design work while also am the director of a small animal welfare non-profit in Maryland, occasionally doing business consulting work.

I believe not that does everyone has a story, but one worth telling.

I first did CS in England & completely fell in love with the experience! Since then, I've tried to embrace the experience where ever & whenever possible.

I also am a strong believer that people don't reach out enough in life. I think that, starting really with my generation, we've begun to screen every interaction, avoiding any possible discomfort and that we've lost ourselves in a hole where convenience of connection has replaced most community.

Life is worth sharing with everyone we can, while we can.
