ABOUT ME

I am an American by birth who can't seem to stay in one place for long. I enjoy outdoor sports, travelling, and good conversation. I try to be open-minded and laugh at everything, including myself. I can occasionally be an extrovert.

PHILOSOPHY

I strive to be of the 5%. To be curious, be gracious, be genuine, and to be someone worth knowing. I hope to never stop learning about this world we're in and the people with whom we share it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

CS is a nice place to meet really unique people. I like either connecting with someone on an individual level or attending events.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed my way through Istanbul, and had a great time. I don't think I'll ever travel "traditionally" again!

Interests

I really enjoy outdoor activities, especially rock climbing, hiking, and skiing (I'll jump off pretty much anything on the mountain - look out). I seek out and listen to all sorts of new music, and especially like jazz and house. After that, my favorite thing is to share a bottle of wine and good conversation, whether it be about culture, politics, economics, technology, philosophy, history, SPACE, travelling, video games, sending a tough pitch, your tallest huck, or how to make awesome pancakes.

Music, Movies, and Books

House and techno, loving the WHP in Manchester. I love live jazz. I also really enjoy finding new music, especially indie, in general, and will listen to all genres and styles. Feeling adventurous? Let's go dancing!

Books? Super into sci-fi! Some of my favorites have been: A Fire Upon the Deep, The Book of the New Sun, and Ender's Game, and I've read a lot of Bradbury's short stories a couple times over. I also enjoy history, fictional or otherwise.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watching the sun rise on the Colorado Rockies... and on the Swiss Alps. I'm constantly in awe to be living in such a beautiful place.
