ABOUT ME

I'm reserved and shy at first but I really love meeting new people and listening to their stories and experiences (the anthropologist in me). I like to be creative sometimes, but I prefer to read or do a crossword. When I travel I like to hit up the touristy spots, but I prefer to dwell in the places which really exhibit local character. I like to learn about a place from the point of view of the people who live there. I'm not afraid to take chances when traveling or go a little out of the way if I think it will be worth the while!

I've hosted a few times and I've also surfed a few times.

兴趣

I like trying new food, making it or going out, sewing and crafting, and working around my house trying to learn how to garden, raising chickens and working on home improvement!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

One of my favorite experiences to date was being led around a Hindu temple by a group of young Indian girls in a rural village and experiencing the complex and intense ritual from their perspective.

I LOVE learning languages and I am happy (really more than happy) to teach what few languages I know. I am also fairly decent at sewing wearable things without patterns. I enjoy learning from people who love what they do.
