Join Couchsurfing to see Stacey’s full profile. It’s free!
I'm Stacey, a happy-go-lucky writer from Melbourne, Australia. I keep a travel blog and also freelance to fund my travels.
I've backpacked Europe and Asia twice, have lived and backpacked North America and have seen as much of close to home as possible (Australia, New Zealand, heaps of Pacific Islands).
I want to live all over the world, to experience new cultures, to keep diving and snorkling (great loves) and to eat EVERYTHING (even greater love!). I'm currently attempting to scratch my travel itch by planning a big trip, meeting other travellers and learning Spanish.
If you want to see more of me, I have a travel website: http://adventurerstacey.com/
And also a facebook: https://www.facebook.com/adventurerstacey
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because I love the concept of a community that transends borders yet is every bit of warm and open wherever you go.
So far on Couchsurfing I've met people and shown them my beautiful country! I've help people who may be wanting to migrate perminantly to settle in and find their feet and I make myself available for people who just watch someone to catch up for a drink with.
I've not yet surfed... can you beleive that? I'm on couch surfing and have been for years and haven't surfed!
I love the outdoors and SCUBA diving; travel; a good book; good live music (ex-music journalist here!); good company; good food and can't say no to a stiff drink!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Two moments that left me awestruck... hmm...
Jumping out of a perfectly okay helicopter over the swiss alps (skydiving, wipe that shocked look off your face!)
The Bangkok protests of 2014... as if we'd ever protest so hard in Australia about anything! There were a million people, and I kept losing the people I was there with.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am a story-teller. I wrap up my listener in amazing tales making them laugh and making them think.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm a good guest who respects my host and their home. I will happily cook for my host if they're comfortable with what's been called "student cooking".
