PHILOSOPHY

I assert myself as a pure internality against which no external power can take hold, and I also experience myself as a thing crushed by the dark weight of other things. At every moment I can grasp the non-temporal truth of my existence. But between the past which no longer is and the future which is not yet, this moment when I exist is nothing. This privilege, which I alone possess, of being a sovereign and unique subject amidst a universe of objects, is what I share with all my fellow-(wo)men. In turn an object for others, I am nothing more than an individual in the collectivity on which I depend. Not one thing has meaning except the meaning we create. We create this reality, we create happiness, we are going to vanish but I don't think we are doomed.

I think this is an incredible, smart, and adventurous way to travel. This way we can link together and hold hands around the world!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only couchsurfed once, and that was in Kyoto, Japan. Wonderful and interesting experience!

Kidnapped a day laborer and took him to Disney World, all expenses paid. Jumped out of a plane. Spotted a UFO. Fell in and out of love. Been outside of my body. Made a hole in one from the woman's tee 177 yards away. Saw the rare albino pink dolphins. Been fourth row to see Radiohead.
