About Me

ABOUT ME

Moved to Arizona from Northern California in Sept 2007. Lived there for 3-1/2 years and then moved to Utah because I got married. Lived in UT for 5 years and moved to Ridgecrest, CA in Oct. 2016.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have hosted a great gal in Utah a few times and have been friends ever since. We also hosted 3 friends visiting Death Valley from out of the country. That was cool! We travel often so its hard to be home to host often but we've had great experiences so far.

This past January '18 in Las Vegas I got to use couchsurfing myself to stay with a really nice lady when I was in town for the Consumer Electronics Show. She was 1 mile from the convention center and it worked out nicely.

Interests

Blogging and documenting my life, social media, travel / road trips, hiking, camping, traveling with our teardrop camper, participating in community events , keeping in touch with friends, hanging out with my husband, friends, and cockatiels! I love finding deals and going thrift store shopping or shopping the sales.

Music, Movies, and Books

action/adventure movies are my favorite
I love most music except classical - because I was forced to listen to it growing up.
I dont like heavy metal either or lyrics that are vulgar.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We have hiked The Wave on the border of Utah and Arizona a couple times
We got engaged in UT in a hot air balloon and crew often for pilots in southern CA
We have been to quite a few National Parks, mainly on the west coast
We have gone caving before a few times in Washington and Oregon
We own a teardrop camper and love camping with it

Teach, Learn, Share

We know a lot about hot air ballooning since we crew at many festivals and events.
I'm a blogger and social media influencer. My husband does I.T. work for his job.
We have been to lots of fun places on the west coast (UT, ID, CA, AZ, NV, OR, WA) so if you are looking for fun things to do, we probably have some suggestions. We also have a travel blog to document our adventures.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We have a spare room with full bed
There is a bathroom with a shower/bathtub right next to that room.
We can give you a shelf in the fridge if you have anything that needs to be put in there overnight.
We have a washer - dryer if you need to do a load of laundry.
WiFi available.
Gated backyard if you need to put your bike there.
Would appreciate a day or two notice if you'd like to stay the night. Thank you!
