I'm one of those people who is defined by their job. I work in the travel industry and love it. Outside of work, I cook, swim, read, love movies, have a wacky artistic side and enjoy hanging out with friends.

Places I've lived: Detroit, New York, Los Angeles, Yosemite National Park and now Phoenix.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted a few people, hosted a few events, surfed once (so far) and participate in local events when possible.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Positive so far. The people who I have met through CS are open, fun, funny, intelligent, have great travel tstories to tell and enjoy each others company.

Interests

cooking, food, photography, drawing (badly), bookbinding, swimming and hiking - not solo hikes. I've gotten lost in the woods before and it's not fun.

Music, Movies, and Books

I spent about 10 minutes working in the entertainment indusrty and have a decent DVD collection. A few favorites (in no particular order) are The Sting, The Matrix, Spanglish, Seabiscuit. I'm a fan of action movies and sci-fi. Dr. Who & The Daily Show are my current favorites.

I have subscriptions to Fast Company, Entertainment Weekly, and Nat. Geographic Traveler. I'm always reading something either business related, travelogues or fun fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a year living outside of Yosemite National Park working at hotel that was going through a renovation and expansion.
