ABOUT ME

I'm an elementary music teacher, living and teaching in a foreign country. I love learning about a new place through its music and culture, and have been known to hunt down cool musical things to bring back for my kids! I am the sort of person who sees photo opportunities in traffic jams and animals in clouds. I love a good chat, warm weather, being outside, and good company.

Interests

I love to travel and meet new people, a nice cup of coffee, sunflowers, reading books, trying to stumble through new languages, yoga, and walking in grass barefoot.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to listen to just about any sort of music...classical, alternative, R&B, hip hop....lately I've been getting quite into reggaeton and tropipop. For books I've recently enjoyed 'The Book Thief' and 'Eva Luna'....most things Isabel Allende or Jane Austen tend to draw me in. I can't sit still long enough to watch most movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'll never forget the incredible drive down to the Dead Sea, in Jordan. We were up in the mountains, and all of us in the car noticed the change in pressure after we went below sea level. The afternoon in the sea, lunch with good friends, and beautiful sunset made it a trip to remember.
