Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I am in the last year of my Master's program, set to finish in December 2013. I have had some complicated living arrangements lately, so I can only hang out or perhaps surf when I travel outside of Rio.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been a surfer, but I haven't yet had a couch to offer.

Interests

Dancing, reading the news, traveling. Advocating for women's/LGBT rights and reproductive/sexual health access.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite Movie of all Time: Singing in the Rain
Current Artist who dominates my iPod: Goldfish

I'm a Trekkie, and I'm a sci fi/fantasy/action girl in general when it comes to movies and books. My music tastes are varied, but most of my iPod is filled with dance-pop. I love club music, dancing, and the upbeat celebration that comes with a good vibe and good dance beat.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

•Seeing the UN Palais in Geneva for the first time.
•Falling in love on a first date.
•Seeing the Eiffel Tower for the first time and then seeing it light up and sparkle on the hour.
•Experiencing the beautiful beaches in Rio de Janeiro.

Teach, Learn, Share

I welcome language exchanges. My languages: native English, advanced Spanish, advanced French, intermediate Portuguese, and novice German.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Brazil, Mexico, Switzerland, United States, Uruguay
