About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm not good at "wacky"..I just like to meet new people.

ABOUT ME

Oh jeez, no one wants to know that much.
I write, I travel, I love my boyfriend, friends, and dogs. We live in La Mision, Baja California Mexico, moved here about 6 months ago. I'm a writer and my BF is the chef.

PHILOSOPHY

Racists are ignorant. Bigots and homophobes are a waste of time. The government is always going to be corrupt, and we all have to make due for ourselves.

"Proactivity" should be a swear, along with "Productivity".

I'd like to meet more people that squirm at all of those terms and want to undermine them at a personal level. As long as you are striving for material things, you are a slave, a cog in the wheel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Had a few people over, they seemed to enjoy their time here. Woke them up at ungodly hours with coffee. It was our first time hosting, besides our friend Rob Cochran, and we were nervous, but everyone was so cool and respectful and fun.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Moved out of the country I was born in.
Met people of the same motive.
Ex-patriots, I guess.
Just blithely simmering away in sunshine and enjoying the rain when it comes.

Interests

Writing, travel, music, cooking, buddhism, music, travel, music, travel..anything animated.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books, fiction or non...things that educate me about another culture, language, food. The Namesake, Memoirs of a Geisha, Shantaram...also graphic novels such as Ghost World, V for Vendetta....
Besides that, any weirdo animation turns my crank. Someday I'll make my own shorts, hopefully, with enough time. Small video documetaries are a way to peek into a life without investing too much, so that's where I'm leaning. It would be great if I could make something that someone else thought was good, or funny, or profound, or just plain not bad.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Snorkeling in Maui,Hawaii, pit-bull dog sledding in Kenia, AK, grizzly-bear-running-away-from, same place. I've ridden the locals bus in Puerta Vallarta, that was fun. Did you know they hid all of the really really poor people behind the Walmart?

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to draw blood out of a turnip, how to write a better essay.

I know a LOT about blood tests. Ten going on eleven years in the medical laboratory area.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Malawi, Mexico

Countries I’ve Lived In

Mexico, United States
