About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To teach and sing and play my way across the Planet

ABOUT ME

I'm a newly qualified primary teacher working in Dublin and will hopefully moving back to my home town Dundalk after the summer. I spend every spare second i have playing, practicing, recording or listening to music. I play in 4 bands; A Rage Against the Machine Tribute (bulls on parade), A Johnny Cash tribute band, a Red Hot Chili Peppers tribute (Red Hot Cherry Poppers) and an original band called Painting by Numbers. In the bands i play bass but i also play guitar and sing. Im busy every weekend practising or gigging and live for both.
I'm a big sports fan too particularly playing and watching soccer and Gaelic games and i'm a Man Utd fanatic!
My aim, having finished my studies just this year, is to play music and travel as much as I possibly can before i settle into a permanent teaching position.
I did some volunteer teaching work in Nairobi Kenya last summer and would be extremely keen to continue working as a volunteer in the future and plan to return to Kenya as soon as possible.

PHILOSOPHY

'Music saves'
'It's better to regret something you did, than something you didn't do' - Flea
Other than these words i'm not sure i've figured out what i'm all about yet, still plenty of time though i hope!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I only found out about this project at the weekend when sleeping on a mates couch after a gig. He told me about how he couch-surfed across canada and the US. I thought it was the best idea ever and with a trip from New York to LA planned in July i thought id check it out! I'll have to see how i can participate a little more but i guess i can start by offering my couch in Dublin city centre up to anyone whos interested!
