CURRENT MISSION

I grew up in a small bordertown, so I have a need to get "out there" and see the world. I'm getting a late start and now I want to make travel a priority in my life. I want to meet as many people as possible. Time to broaden my horizons.

ABOUT ME

I am a fun-loving 20 something who likes high energy parties, but I know how to keep cool, too. I like to read about science and nature. I love all forms of art. Most of my friends are better traveled than me, so I am eager to see more of the world. I like meeting new people, mostly anyone who can hold a descent conversation without being arrogant. I'll handle the arrogance. :P

PHILOSOPHY

Learn as you go, don't fret, don't look back, don't listen to the nay sayers. There is no book on how to live life, so it's up to me to break the mold.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted many times and it's an amazing experience. I truly enjoy being a host. Even as a kid I always wanted the house everyone came to. Friends could walk right in like they were part of the family.

Intereses

Music, Reading, Art, Photography, Health, Exploration, Science, Finance, People, Other People's Success Stories! I also like to people watch and observe human behavior. I find it interesting, the decisions we make and why we make them. I guess generally how the mind works and how it got that way today.

Música, películas y libros

All music, I grew up with break dancers, so I can "bust a move." ;) I like metal and house mostly. Anything not mainstream, although I do still like a lot of mainstream. I like original movies, nothing designed to just bring in money. I sure do appreciate original ideas. Too many books.

Algo increíble que he hecho

As a photojournalist, I have seen many wonderful and horrible things. Most recently, was Hurricane Ike on Galveston Island. I lost about 10 lbs in a week while shooting on the island during the aftermath. No food, running water, or electricity. First thing I did when I got off the island was grab a burger.
