learn and give as much as i can in this life... teach and take a lot as well.
i'm a filmmaker from mexico city. photography, films and music play a big role in my life. i usually carry a guitar or some kind of stringed instrument with me as well as one or several cameras. i like to meet people with different points of view who are passionate about life and expression.
I know it's hard to send a bunch of requests hoping that one of them pans out, but also consider how many requests we get being in such a big city. I will dismiss copypasted requests on principle. Just put a little personal touch and all shall be fine.
I think life is meant to be shared with others. It's selfish to keep yourself hidden from the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I really enjoy both hosting and travelling. So I try to do both as often as possible. I've only had great experiences so far on both ends. I've met and traveled with amazing people and learned a great deal from it.
no complaints. surfing and hosting have been incredible and life-asserting experiences.
cinema, music, photography, all kinds of artistic expressions: theatre, dance, painting, sculpture. i love outdoor activities and traveling, experiencing new places and meeting interesting people.

Music, Movies, and Books
some movies: lucia y el sexo, biutiful, trainspotting, 4 months 3 weeks 2 days, le scaphandre et le papillon, jagten and amour are some personal favourites. films are my life in more than one way, so there's really no end to everything i love about movies.
i really love music in all of it's forms, from classical to electro, tango to rock, jazz, flamenco, ambient and sinaloense. I'm not an educated musician but i definitely appreciate music made with passion.
Some old favourites: sigur ros, bjork, mew, kashmir, radiohead, M83, vetusta morla, kavinsky, zoe, james blake, john cage, carlos gardel and the list goes on.
books: norweigan wood, andamios, del amor y otros demonios, la tumba, rayuela, chejov's short stories.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
the most amazing thing that comes to mind was the two week trip i took with my younger brother through yucatán. we met amazing people, ate some great meals, went to absolutely beautiful places and just overall shared a fantastic bonding experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could share the basics of analogue photography, guitar playing, or some songs in ukulele. I can also share some mexican recipes. I'm hardly a professional chef but i can manage to prepare a nice dish or two.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Nice food, good cheap local pulque and a nostalgic guitar tune.
