I am Richard.

How are you?

live in San Francisco and love every moment.

I'm a 9-5 graphic designer for a pretty rad company.

Recently I spent a chunk of time in the Amazonian basin exploring, working with animals, pumping up my Spanish, meeting new people, and learning about hallucinogenic plants.

More recently I backpacked from the top of New Zealand to the bottom, it was the most beautiful country I've even seen and filled with the sweetest people.

Before that I was living, working, and travelling Asia.

Before that I was living where I grew up, in a small farm town, and needed to get out.

Interests

I like design, i like animals, i like music.

I like books.
Comics mainly and other equally fantastic tales.
I don't really read "real books" enough. I'm a sucker for really good children's books.

I like movies.
Miyazaki, Von Trier, Kieslowski, Anderson, etc. classics, odd biographies, nature documentaries, other documentaries, frontline, home movies, cartoons, the criterion collection, studio ghibli, odd anime, science films.

I love music.
some of my top artists are the national, okkervil river, songs: ohia, will oldham, the knife, jens lekman. but that's just the shortlist

I am in a lifelong search of the perfect turkey sandwich.
i like all kinds of food but i can't eat fish or shellfish, i'm allergic.

i don't eat beef or pork either...
but i make an exception for bacon, pepperoni and jerky.
