I am a Florida girl, born and raised, and am now traveling is my home. As of 2016, I worked on a cruise ship as a commercial photographer, capturing the guests experiences whilst visiting a broad range of places inside my eight month contract. Including but not limited to Sydney, Melbourne, Tasmania, the north and south islands of New Zealand, Hawaii, Vancouver, (and multiple South Pacific Islands in-between)as well as the inside passage of Alaska. Before the ship I was a journalist for a local paper in Palm Coast, Fl and the farthest I had been away from home was NYC!

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I would like to travel to places I have never seen and experience different cultures. Couchsurfing provides both the host and traveler an opportunity to create unique friendships, and explore the surrounding areas together. So far my only experiences with Couchsurfing has been as a host in my hometown. I have really enjoyed hosting the dozen or so travelers that stayed with my brother and I in Florida. Now I have the opportunity to reverse the role, become the traveler and start my own adventures!

Interessen

I love anything outdoorsy: hiking, biking, camping, ect. I would like to get out of my comfort zone and experience new and thrilling activities. A few things I have never done, but would love to try: snowboarding, skiing, horse back riding, bungee jumping, sailing, water skiing and sledding (I have never experienced snow fall.)
I am interested in learning other languages, and experiencing many different cultures.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I enjoy reading books. My last carry-on bag was about 14 kg of paperback books stolen from the ships crew library. Lately I have been into Lee Child's Jack Reacher novels.
When it comes to movies I love comedies, horror movies and action/adventure flicks.
I can listen to and enjoy all genres of music, but have a special love for rock and reggae.

I missed the cruise ship I was working on in Alaska, it made for a terrifying experience and later a hilarious story. My family still doesn't know.
