About Me

CURRENT MISSION

More travel! More scuba!

ABOUT ME

I'm 29 years old. I'm Greek. I'm 6'6" (1.98m). I need to travel

PHILOSOPHY

Always be able to look back and say 'At least I didn't lead no humdrum life.'

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just recently decided to join couchsurfing. I don't have my own place yet so I can't host, but I look forward to being able to have people over when I do get my own place. For now I'm looking to meet other couchsurfers wherever I travel, either as hosts or as new friends.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My favorite person in the world has used couchsurfing quite a bit and she has been nothing but effusive about all the great experiences she has had. Well actually there was that one time... but mostly, she said she met a bunch of really awesome people and that has compelled me to want to join in the fun.

Interests

Obviously, I love to travel, see new places, meet new people, and try new things. When I'm traveling, I like to hit the tourist highlights, especially monuments which have stood the test of time whose scale and precision defy modern understanding. I'm not religious, but cathedrals and other places of religious significance are often pretty spectacular. I also like the other side of travel though, getting off the beaten path and trying something crazy or doing it like a local. Other than that I recently got in to scuba diving and I love the beach and crystal clear waters anywhere they can be found.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing experience I can think of was floating on a current 70 feet below the surface as the Cozumel reef flew by. The vastness of the ocean behind me, the vibrant colors of life in front of me, the thrill of a new experience all combined to make it absolutely incredible. One really cannot overstate how beautiful it is down there.

Teach, Learn, Share

For those of you traveling to Greece, please find a local. Athens, even in the midst of economic disaster is a city that never sleeps and outside the tourist district of Plaka, Monastiraki, and Syntagma, there is much to explore!

Countries I’ve Visited

Bahamas, Netherlands, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In

France, Greece, United States
