ABOUT ME

I graduated from the University of Georgia in 2008.After a couple of years working aboard privately-owned luxury yachts, I have been living, working, and playing here in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

PHILOSOPHY

Relax. Life is too short to spend it preparing for retirement from a miserable occupation. If you do not enjoy every day to some extent, you should reconsider your tenure on this planet

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted 60 or so people and have stayed with 30 or so others. I love to meet new people and have used couchsurfing to establish friendships while moving to a new city.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

For my first couchsurfing experience, I stayed with an American woman named Barbi, her Dutch fiancee and her 9 siamese cats in Amsterdam fall '05. Wonderful people, wonderful experience. I Couchsurfed on a 30 day bike ride from Athens, Ga to Key West, FL. as well as on a 78 day canoe trip down the Mississippi River. Living in Steamboat now, and have hosted 40+ people here.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walked 60 miles from Atlanta,Ga. to Athens, Ga. in 31 hours.
Hopped a freight train from Jacksonville to Miami and back.
Rode my Bicycle from Athens, Ga to Key West, Fl. Paddled down the entire Mississippi River in a canoe.
Rafted through the Grand Canyon in 18 days.

I live in a house that is walking distance from the downtown area of Steamboat and about 3 miles from the Ski Area.
