I'm trying to give my life a new direction; I would like to try new things, be more creative and feel really useful to society -which is sometimes difficult with my job as an English teacher...

ABOUT ME

Interested in meeting new people and travelling with my big family as well.
I'm an English teacher, currently on maternity leave. We're very eager to learn and know about other cultures. We think that it broadens the mind a lot and we really want our children to be curious about other ways of living. This plays an important part in the way we try to raise our children.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We live 10 KM away from Strabourg center, but there is a bus which takes you to our house very easily. Our home is a good place if you want to visit the city during the day and be quiet in the evening: since we couldn't find a big house closer to the city, we had to move a bit further, but it is not that far and the house is huge with a big garden!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm a newcomer on couchsurfing! We have welcomed a charming coupe from Canada last April. It was a very nice expereionce for us and for the children who were very at ease with our guests.

Interests

We spend a lot of time with our children. We also love hiking, reading and cooking. We don't use the car very much and we'd rather ride as much as possible. Strasbourg is a great city for riders. We also have a piano and I try to teach my son. If you want to play, we'd love listening!

Music, Movies, and Books

We listen to music a lot and like discovering new singers/ styles. We listen to reggae and folk music a lot.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We traveled to Sri Lanka for our honeymoon, I discovered a completly different way of thinking and seeing the world. It's been a wonderful lesson of philosophy. We've also been to Brazil with some friends, and we're planning to go to Great Britain next summer with the children. I'm really looking forward to it!

Teach, Learn, Share

We don't have much time for travelling, so meeting travellers is a way of making up for it by proxy! We also think it would be a very good experience for our children if they could meet other children from different cultures and origins.
