ABOUT ME

Everything I do in life, I try to do with passion. My friends praise me for my creative outlook and my out of the box thinking. Enjoy having great thoughts about the little things in life, and like to put things in their cultural and esthetical perspective.
CS is for me a formidable way to discover and exchange new attitudes, cultures and ways of living.
When I’m on holiday, the local history of a city or a village always catches my primary interest. During my trips I find it very fascinating to catch-up with CS-people who like to tell you something about the hidden history of a place they know. In my hometown of Mechelen I have the ambition one day, to become an official town guide.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosted some people and attended Belgian couch surfing happenings. Stef has surfed couches in Ukraine; Russia, Poland, Estonia and Belgium. Till so far very good experiences!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Like many other people I witnessed a myriad of amazing things, but I rather talk about it with you in stead of writing it down in length on this profile.

But maybe one?

I adore old apple trees (in Dutch: hoogstam appelbomen van oude rassen),especially the ones which date back to the 14th and the 16th century. In Belgium these old tree races have become very rare so every time I find one it is as finding a treasure.

I am always interested in other cultures. Especially eastern European cultures. One of my most intensive pass times for the moment lies in searching the origin and background of words.
