Hi all, I'm originally from eastern Germany, allthough I moved away in 2005 already. After having spent a High School Year in Texarkana, AR, I ended up in Cologne for my apprenticeship and my studies.
Apart from that, I've also lived for half a year in London (Putney) and most recently (before I came to Basel) for 1.5 years in Glenrothes, Scotland.
I love travelling (mainly the Americas), and allthough I never couchsurfed myself, I'm interested in meeting people from all over and provide them a place to stay in Basel if needed.

My favorite author is definitely Bill Bryson, but I have to admit that due to my job etc. I havent been reading much in recent years.
Favorite Movies...well, I consider Dances with Wolves, Once, Schindlers List and Easy Rider my absolute favorites, but there are so many others that I really appreciate a lot - E.g. Die Geschichte vom weinenden Kamel (whatever that is in English). By the way, I have a giant DVD selection, but no Netflix Account :-)
And Music, well, I mostly enjoy Country, Blues, Rock, some Folk...so it goes in the direction of Canned Heat, ZZ Top, CCR, Hank Williams, to name just a few.
