Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To surf couch... I like avoiding the tourist crowds and finding out what the culture of a place is really like. What better way is there?

Interests

Architecture, obviously. I also like music, both making it and listening to it. I go to all sorts of concerts be it rock, indie, opera, or classical. Besides that I also like aviation, photography, eating, and riding - my best friend is a horse.

Music, Movies, and Books

This is hard. There's too much. My all time favorite composer is Richard Wagner, but for more modern music I like Shawn Lee/ Young Gun Silver Fox, Jungle, Alt-J, Grizzly Bear, Chilly Gonzales, Sigur Rós.... In terms of movies I like Hayao Miyazaki Films, Wes Anderson Films, Tom Ford's 'A Single Man' and Star Wars of course (but I was disappointed by The Force Awakens). I like reading all sorts of books like Freakonomics in the non-fiction department or James Buchan's 'A Good Place to Die' for fiction. Hugh Laurie's 'The Gun Seller' is pretty good. I mostly read magazines though, like Monocle, Cereal, Intelligent Life, and stuff like that.
