Since August 2025, I’m on a (mainly) bicycle trip until - if all goes fine - January 2026. Before, I have been living for three years in the Philippines with my Mexican wife Ana, working with the German development cooperation in a project on peace. Until 2021, I was living for around 12 years in Mexico, also collaborating in different organisations and projects on human rights and conflict transformation. Right now, I am very grateful for the opportunity of getting to at least a glimpse of the countries countries I am cycling in.

While knowing new places the most most interesting part is what locals can tell. Not only to know what´s going on and to know places you could never find on your own but knowing the opinions, ideas, problems, hopes. New perspectives.

Algo increíble que he hecho

About the special experiences I remember some had been while hitchhiking. Not to know what will happen, where will I get, where will I sleep is quite thrilling and there have been a lot of experiences of hospitality and meeting people I would not have met in other contexts. In one example, the ride converted into a 5 days boat trip at Gulf of California seeing a lot of species of animals a part of the beautiful landscape of that region.
