About Me
ABOUT ME
I am a graduate student who actually lives in Davis (California).
I love meeting people that I don't know so far as it's always an adventure - you never know what awaits you and meeting people always broadens your horizon. Additionally I really enjoy travelling regardless of whether in my homecountry or any other country.
In Davis, I am studying Horticulture & Agronomy with focus on Plant Breeding. As you might already guess, I am really into plants.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I was hosting a few people and was hosted a lot of times. Currently it would be a bit difficult to host people as I lived in a shared flat.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
In 2012 I registered at Couchsurfing because I was planning a one-month-trip to France with two good friends.
At first my idea of cousurfing was kind of "hostel for no money". But when I met our first hosts this idea was toally blown away as I metioned Couchsurfing is such a great possibility to get in contact with great people and enjoy time with strangers that can become friends. So my idea of couchsurfing totally changed and we had a great time in France with great hosts.
Later I did a short trip to Denmark - this time with three friends. Here we had again the great possibility to meet some very nice couchsurfers.
Interests
I am really interested in science but also in culture as well as in other countries - especially their way of living. I also have to mention that I am addicted to food and extremely curious about the food of other countries. This is also a reason why I enjoy cooking.
What I also enjoy is learning new languages but also improving my skills in those I already learned a little bit.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the greatest things I did so far was kind of a roadtrip through France. We got the car from the parents of a good friend and drove to France for one month. It was one of the best months in my life as we met so many nice people and saw the whole diversity of a country in just a month.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I like cooking - so I can definitely share a meal with hosts. :)
