About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Find my way into the outback

ABOUT ME

I'm a 27 year old Dutch guy and I've been traveling Australia for the past 1,5 years. So far it has been big adventure.

Worked with animals near Cairns in a privately owned zoo as a tour guide (showing off Tarantulas, Scorpions and Reptiles) and pulling Pythons around people's necks for photo opportunities. Since a couple of months work I traveled down the East Coast and my next stop would be the outback. After that: back home...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment it's impossible for me to host (maybe in my car? hehe) because I don't have a house, let alone a couch! When I get back to Amsterdam, and find myself a place I will definitely host people. Seems to me it's a great way to keep in touch with the travel vibes (even being back home in the cold...)

Maybe the best thing about CS is the focus on positiveness in people... Mostly people assume the negative sides, but how great is it to just get people you never met before, into your house, or step into someones house, and it works out just fine! Things like that can really give me a boost of positiveness! Just great.

As a surfer I am able to cook food and not to make a big mass out of the place hehe. Of course I love to share experiences and believe me, I have no problem talking the ears off your heads... especially after a couple of beers, wines, or other drinks.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Haven't been surfing for a while. Only around Perth more than a year ago. Had good experiences over all. Some better than the other, but always interesting to experience the local side of a city. Would be cool to pick it up again.
