I am in CS because I don’t like to do the typical hostel touristy things - rather I look for a truly genuine cultural experience. I believe one must live and get to know the locals of wherever they are traveling to. Locals can show a side of the target destination that no guidebook or website can.

Eu estou no CS porque não gosto de fazer as coisas turísticas do albergue típico - em vez disso, procuro uma experiência cultural verdadeiramente genuína. Eu acredito que é preciso viver e conhecer os moradores de onde quer que estejam viajando. Os locais podem mostrar um lado do destino destino que nenhum guia ou site pode.

I just joined Couchsurfing and i love the idea of meeting new people and helping them in my country.

Acabei de me juntar ao Couchsurfing e adoro a idéia de conhecer pessoas novas e ajudá-las no meu país.

I believe tourism is more about get to know how different kind of people live instead of going to the main square and taking photos or doing tours. CS is a nice way to get the locals and find out their kind of living.

Eu acredito que o turismo é mais sobre saber como diferentes tipos de pessoas vivem em vez de ir à praça principal e tirar fotos ou fazer passeios. CS é uma boa maneira de obter os moradores e descobrir o tipo de vida.
