About Me

Currently, I live in Lodi. Unfortunately, I am living with a family so I cannot host. However, once my living situation changes, I will be happy to host.

I left my corporate job (financial auditor) and I am working towards a career shift. Currently, I am teaching various subjects in high school in Italy. After teaching for a bit, I plan to pursue a graduate degree in something that interests me (unlike accounting).

As a guest, I am pretty quiet and introverted, but always happy to have meaningful conversations and share culture. I don't party much and actually love to go to sleep early. I have a very old soul. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined because a friend suggested it as a great way to meet friendly locals whilst traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy almost all types of music, especially when it's played live. I feel that I listen to certain types of music in particular situations. For example, I tend to enjoy classical or jazz when studying, but love classic rock for cooking and cleaning.

I love films for the fact that they are the most popular form of modern art. People don't go gaga for statues or oil paintings anymore so a good film is always very impressive. I like documentaries, indie films and thrillers the most. My favorite directors include: Mel Brooks, Matteo Garrone, Roberto Benigni, Hitchcock, Alice Rohrwacher, Christopher Nolan, Emanuele Crialese, and Wes Anderson.

I love reading and have quite the collection of books growing. Currently, I'm on a big non-fiction kick.
A few of my favorites are:
-The Decameron by Giovanni Boccaccio
-The Sorrows of Young Werther by Goethe
-Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson
-In Praise of Slowness by Carl Honore

Teach, Learn, Share

I am obsessed with learning and treat every day as an informative experience. I would be honored to teach you anything that I can. I could teach you about swimming, accounting, Medieval Italian literature, American culture among other things.

Particularly, I am quite interested in language! We can try a language exchange.

Additionally, I am always trying to learn about culture, mechanics, all science (especially psychology), nutrition, health, astronomy, philosophy, or quite simply, everything. I want to understand not just how the world works, but how everything is connected.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Cooking (from American to Italian to vegan cuisines) and cleaning!

I can also offer quality conversations or simply an ear to listen. I can teach you Italian, swimming technique, or things related to business.
