Hello,
I am Steffi, a 26 years old girl, who likes travelling. I did 2 internships in Ghana and Thailand, where I felt in love with Africa and Asia. I backpacked around Cambodia and Laos in 2015 and in Cuba in 2016 and I really like to explore and discover new countries, cultures, mentalities and people. =)
Sometimes I am a bit busy, because I´m doing my PhD at the university hospital Aachen, but feel free to contact me and ask if I have some free time I can spend with you =)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to meet local people, because they can provide you the best advices about their country. These information about secret places you would never find without the help of locals are more valuable than every sightseeing book =) I like to eat local food and learn how to cook it. I think the world is quite a small place, like a village and you can make friends all over the world =)

Interests

I love water, especially the sea, waterfalls, lakes,... so I love swimming and snorkeling. I am interested in nature, walking in forests and explore botanical gardens. I am interested in doing sightseeing in foreign cities. I love animals and like to go to (good) zoos. Of course, I also like to listen to music, go dancing, clubbing, drinking and just hang out with my friends =)

Music, Movies, and Books

I am not so complicated, I like nearly all kind of music. My favourits are black, latin, house, charts, ska, reggae (!), indie, rock, electro and so on.
I really like live concerts, thereby the music doesn´t matter so much.
I watch several types of movies, but I always have to scream while I am watching horror movie or splatter.
I love all kind of literature and I really enjoy reading if I can find the time for it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: how do open a beer bottle with everything (knife, fork, lighter, water bottle,...) German girls are able to do that ;-)
Learn: how to cook typical German/Thuringian food =) I love cooking (and eating ;-) )
Share: my experience, a nice talk, a bottle of wine or some beers =)
