About Me

I work as a Computer Engineer in the IT dept. of a bank. Previously I've been an academic researcher in the computer engineering field (who would have thought! XD). I'm interested in... oh, well, you can read these things in the appropriate space down below. Anyway, I like good conversations, good company, good music and good wines. I like respect and respectful people, I like irony and those who do not take themselves too seriously.

A few things to know / I appreciate ;-)

* I decided to accept friendship requests only from those people I knew personally. I'm not interested in collecting huge lists of names, I prefer real experiences so please don't send me a request if we didn't meet in real life. :-)

* I host because I love to get in contact with people, listen to stories and exchange experiences. I'd like to have a nice conversation with you, but this will be possible only if you are fluent in English or Italian.

* Please don't use other social media to contact me to "increase your odds to have your request accepted". Couchsurfing is the only platform I use for these types of things and I kindly ask you to respect it.

-+-+-+-TO KNOW BEFORE SENDING A REQUEST-+-+-+-

You are welcome in my house if you're interested in having a nice conversation, knowing local culture, talk about your experiences and sharing travel insights, laughs and a glass of wine.

I'm not confortable in giving the keys of the flat so, please, don't ask for it.
If you suffer from allergy you'll be glad to know that I don't own animals. I'm not a smoker and I'll kindly ask you not to smoke inside (I have a small terrace at your disposal for it).

Your accomodation will be a cushy sofabed in the livingroom :-)

The flat is located in Scandicci and it's very well connected to Florence city center by public transportation. The newly built tramway (T1 line) will take you from Scandicci to Florence in just 20'. You can reach the nearest tramway stop by feet (10') or using the bus service (5') that stops right in front of my place.

Last but not least: I live in a little flat and since I want to give you a decorous stay I won't accept more than two guests at the same time. In addition, if you submit a request for two, you should be aware that your accomodation will be a double sofabed. This means that you'll sleep together and you should be comfortable with it.

Uh, a very final note: as an host, I really appreciate people who send requests after reading my "hosting policy". You can understand that it's a sign you are serious and that you care. So, to prove that you reached this line, include your favourite food/drink as a post scriptum in your request :-) .

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Basically, because I think the project is great. Meeting people from all around the world, exchanging experiences, ideas, thoughts, tales, hopes. What's better than this?

Music, Movies, and Books

Do people really spend time in reading lists? Well, I'll be very brief: I love Dino Buzzati's books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I survived today

Teach, Learn, Share

I can (decently, not more ;-) ) play guitar and sing and we can have a nice music session together! If the weather is not too rigid, I can take you to a wonderful motorbike ride throughout the beautiful tuscan countryside (not an ordinary turist trip, isn't it?).
