ABOUT ME

Hi guys! My name's Stefano, an Italian student from Treviso, a wonderful medieval city where I was born and grew up. After I had spent some years studying informatics and electronics at the high school, I took a mad decision: change my path and start to do philosophy. Then I moved to Venice where I followed an undergraduate course, and finally I took my degree. I enjoyed those years, but, nevertheless, I felt I needed new experiences. So I moved again, this time to Palermo in Sicily. By the way, this choice, perhaps, was the most insane of my life. Anyway, after my master degree, I applied for Ph.D. there. Now I'm a Ph.D. student, currently in Boston at Tufts, and I'm going to stay here for 6 months at least.

Interests

Well, I don't wanna mention all my interests. Generally speaking, I like to talk with people who can teach me something new, interesting, and learn from other cultures. I love reading novels (Dostoevsky is my favourite writer), although I don't have much time to spend on it. Sometimes I enjoy dancing (like house music, drum & bass, etc.), but it basically depends on the context. I'm a fan of european and american cinema. Ok, I'm very tired, and so I don't wanna type anything else :-)

Ok, I will sketch something: Led Zeppelin, Doors, Go Go Dools, Rush, Bob Dylan. Let us turn to the movies. It's impossibile to write a full list, but these are some of my favourite directors: Bergman, Scott, Visconti, Lang, Leone, Eastwood, Allen, Carpenter, Burton, Scorsese , Cohens, Stone, Kubrick, etc.
Some of my favourite writers are: Dostoevsky, Musil, Goncarov, Mann, Dickens, Orwell, Carroll, Pirandello, Dumas, Stendhal, Joyce, Shelley, Tolkien, ancient roman literature, etc.
