I'm 37 years old and I have lived around Hobart most of my life but currently enjoying a working holiday in Canada.

Travelling overseas for long periods of time has been a big part of my life for a number of years now. When I'm back home, all I'm really aiming for is my next big trip.

I'm an outdoorsy kind of guy. When at home I like to spend my weekends camping, fishing, kayaking, snorkeling and bush walking. I thrive on fresh air and open spaces.

I like to be socially active. Always up for a coffee, beer or a toke depending on what's your poison.

I love sports. Football is my religion. I used to play, but unfortunately had to retire due to knee injuries. I still watch and go to games when I can. I went to the FIFA World Cup in Brasil and Russia. I used to play Cricket and Gaelic Football too.

Couchsurfing makes the world a smaller, less scary place. It's great to know that wherever I go in the word, there will be friendships waiting to be made and great experiences to be had. Also, when I'm at home, working hard towards the next big trip it's nice to invite someone new, different and interesting to come and stay at my home. Getting to know people from all over the world is like traveling without having to travel.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

My travels are probably the highlight. I've spent over 2 years worth of time travelling South America but still feel like I've barely scratched the surface.

Right now though, have to say the most amazing thing I've done recently was move to Canada and start a new career in the cannabis industry. If someone told 20-year-old-me this was how I'd spend my mid 30s I would have laughed and called them crazy.

Can mix a mean drink when called upon, cook a little, share language and stories etc. I like to sit down with people and exchange with people over a drink... or a toke if you're partial to that!
