FOR HANG-OUTS OR HOSTS:
IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANY REFERENCES OR FRIENDS AND YOU ARE NOT A WOMAN PLEASE DO NOT MESSAGE ME BECAUSE THESE KINDS OF PEOPLE ALWAYS END UP BEING CREEPS. Note: If you start a convo with "hi, how are you" most likely youll have nothing to say in person or I worry it will turn into a translation class. Please, send a little bit of something interesting.
EXPRESSLY FOR HOSTS: I don't stay with men who have never hosted other men or couples before. That suggests you have a little pay for play thing and I am not interested in that whatsoever. If you host dudes it shows you're in the spirit of meeting new people and chilling. A guy who only hosts Slavic or Asian women...that speaks pretty loudly to me.
Please don't send a small talk message. 'HOW ARE YOU?" I never answer those. If you can't compose an interesting message or question about one of my million photos or very in-depth profile, it shows either a) you don't speak enough English to do this and want lessons (which I don't give unless you're a host) or b) you are boring.
To boldly go where like everyone has gone before. Teaching English, captivating the locals, all that good stuff.
I do things on a whim. I travel alone but not for long because my giant mouth generally draws in unsuspecting passersby and they fall in love with the essence that is my insanity. But for real. I'm easy going, I enjoy enthralling strangers with my tales. I enjoy small furry creatures (including humans), making fun of eachother's accents, punk rock, horrible movies, anything retro. I'm a "come with" person. You know that person you call at 3 am because you have some kind of zany idea and they always participate? That's me. I rarely say no to the bizarre. Just don';t try and have sex with me or whatever.
Stop thinking and do stuff. It's 50/50 on this working for me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
as of 2016 I'm living and working in Istanbul!
By having charisma and maybe buying you some alcohol and cake.
No couch at moment, more than happy to help you muddle through Shanghai with my knowledge of terrible Chinese and to steer you away from Nanjing Lu and all the touristy traps (Unless you want to go there, of which I will happily be your guide)
I know nightlife of many genres: electronic, rock, gay etc along with weestern food of every type and where to get it and districts from French Concession to Yuyuan Gardens where I live. Get at me!

Hong Kong was amazing, also used it to meet up with others in Australia, I wish I could pass it on to you but all I can offer is my company (which is pretty awesome)
- Music scenes
-Photography of random and useless things
- Scaring and charming people simultaneously
-Doing weird things to my hair
- Trying to catch passing animals
- working out
Music, Movies, and Books
Old B movies, pretentious foreign movies. David Lynch that kind of thing. We will have some music in common, for I love everything, you won't believe it until you see my mp3 player, and living in China has enabled me to do way too much karaoke so trust me, music is covered. Do you like Chuck Palahniuk? So do I!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Got on a plane to China with no real information and made a career out of it. And somehow 5 nights a week sang No Doubt and Mdonna covers in a Filipino bar. Seriously.
Teach, Learn, Share
Want to better your english or french? Or do you want to learn how to bake things that taste good and will make you fat? We're in business then. Also, true story, I was a nightclub singer in Shanghai. Got any requests?Sometimes I am 4-20 accessible...even better.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My dazzling smile and charming personality. I'm helpful, I know where things are. In the future, maybe we can travel together as this has spawned a few opportunities for co-travel which I'm always looking for new travel buddies.
