20 something year old hailing from California with the goal of moving to the Netherlands this year!

I work in the United States as a transportation engineer with a focus on bicycle infrastructure, roundabouts, and mass transit. I love being involved in projects that transform cities from being dominated by cars into spaces for people to live their lives. Nobody does this better than the Dutch, so I am determined to move to the Netherlands to study and learn from the best.

I'm a pretty open minded person who is willing to give almost anything a try, but you'll find that some of my favorite activities include

I'm also training for the San Diego Iron man taking place this September! This is my first one ever so wish me luck!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My hope is to move to the Netherlands by November so hopefully this will be a good way to get to know some people in the area! The best way to get to know an area is to talk to the locals.

Im not a huge fan of classical tourism where you stay in a resort town and spend a few days in some fancy hotels without ever really getting an opportunity to get to know the area you're in or meeting the locals. I much prefer to stay in one area longer and get to know the area and the people!

I'm also happy to host anyone if I have enough notice. Why anyone would choose to vacation in Sacramento is beyond me though.....
