Hi what's up, I am Steffen, 20 years old and from Germany. Before I go to university I wanted to take a year to see some of the great countries around the world. I have been traveling for six months now and it has been a great experience so far. However, I would like to meet more people who actually live in the areas I visit as I mainly met other travelers.

Interests

I really enjoy sports, especially football and handball (a smaller sport that is not very popular in many countries, but a lot of people play it in Germany including me). That involves outdoor activities as well, I like hiking and I have walked the Camino Santiago in Spain in January. Of course I love listening to music, as everyone does and enjoy watching a good movie or TV series.
I also like books and am interested in current affairs, as well as history.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite TV series is hard to choose. I am a fan of Game of Thrones and have recently watched the last episodes - not great, but could have been worse. Sherlock is also a great show, as well as House of Cards. The last series I watched apart from Game of Thrones was The Man in the High Castle.

Movies wise one of my favourites is the documentary Tashi and the Monk and I am a big fan of Charlie Chaplin.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I visited a lagoon with flamingos near San Pedro de Atacama which was great - sunrise, stunning nature and very peaceful and calm
