Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have not couch surfed yet, but am definitely planning to soon =) In the past I mostly crashed with people who know someone who knows someone who knows me - but that's kind of what couch surfing is anyway! I have met some really nice couch surfers though since one of my best friends is a CS ambassador here in Freiburg.

Interests

I am very much the outdoor person who loves hiking - climbing up mountains simply makes me happy!!! =)
Other than that languages, running, travelling, playing the piano, my cat, Scandinavia, reading, taking weird/fun self-potraits when on vacation alone; I could eat cereal for a living (is there a job like that???)

Music, Movies, and Books

European movies, any kind of music my friend puts onto a CD for me which is something she does regularly, books with little storyline but interesting character descriptions

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watch my father assist a cow at birth on a farm vacation when I was around seven years old. Assist at childbirth myself twice. Sunset over the Dolomites. Walk the Great Wall. See Northern Lights over Tromsö. Hiking up Ulriken and looking over bueatiful Bergen. Elton John's only concert in Europe in 1993 in Aschaffenburg (which is right next to the small town i grew up in).

Teach, Learn, Share

The best way to get to know a place is to get to know the people who live there. Oh, and of course: If you're going to have a barbecue somewhere outdoors, bring wine bottles with screw caps!
